Job summary

Pursuit Collection in Denver is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant focused on Fixed Assets and Leases to join our Accounting and Finance team. You will own lease and fixed asset accounting, support month end close for a multi-entity portfolio across the U.S.

and Canada, and work closely with finance and operations partners. This is a regular full-time, salaried role based in our Denver office with a base salary range of $80,000 to $88,000 per year depending on qualifications and experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward it is a strong asset.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience with lease accounting and fixed assets preferred.
• Experience with CoStar or another lease accounting system is a plus.
• Experience with D365 or another ERP system is a plus.
• Strong MS Excel skills (lookups, pivots, basic modeling).
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
• Ownership mindset and initiative to move tasks forward.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly accounting processes.
• Maintain and update the lease accounting system (CoStar) with new leases and modifications.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to ensure complete and accurate lease data.
• Prepare related journal entries and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Set up new fixed assets in the system and run depreciation routines.
• Perform variance analyses and capital budgeting support.
• Ensure timely financial reporting with reconciliations and analyses.
• Coordinate with external auditors on annual audits and financial statements.
