Job summary

Simmons Prepared Foods Inc. is seeking a Fixed Assets Accountant in Siloam Springs, AR, to manage asset accounting and capital spending within the general ledger framework.

Responsibilities include monitoring construction in progress, recording asset acquisitions/dispositions, and coordinating with plant managers and engineers to ensure accurate reporting and lease accounting. A CPA is preferred and a bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years accounting or finance experience.
• Fixed assets or capital spending experience preferred.
• Experience with subledger applications and Excel is required.
• Oracle and General Ledger experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, record, and track fixed assets in financial statements.
• Monitor construction in progress and related accounts.
• Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions.
• Support operating lease accounting.
• Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
• Assist in property tax reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers, plant managers, and finance team.
