Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Dynamic Fixed Asset Manager in Coppell, TX. This hybrid, permanent leadership role manages fixed asset portfolio, drives reporting, and oversees acquisitions, transfers, and disposals using Workday.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fixed asset accounting, strong GAAP/SOX knowledge, and is CPA/CMA desirable. You will mentor the team and partner with finance on budgeting and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in fixed asset management or similar role.
• Proficient in Workday for fixed asset management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fixed asset portfolio and ensure accurate accounting/reporting.
• Manage acquisitions, transfers, and disposals of assets.
• Ensure timely monthly and year-end close of fixed assets ledger.
• Collaborate with finance on budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and planning.
• Implement and manage asset tagging/tracking systems.
• Conduct regular audits of asset existence and condition.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other standards.
• Utilize Workday for asset management and reporting.
• Train and mentor team on asset procedures and Workday usage.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the fixed asset portfolio and ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of all fixed assets.
• Managing and executing the entire fixed asset process, including acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
• Ensuring timely and accurate monthly and year-end close of the fixed assets ledger.
• Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate capital budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning.
• Implementing and managing asset tagging and tracking systems.
• Conducting regular audits to verify the existence and condition of assets.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including GAAP and SOX.
• Utilizing Workday for fixed asset management and reporting.
• Training and mentoring team members on fixed asset procedures and Workday usage.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in fixed asset management or a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of fixed asset accounting and accruals.
• Proficiency in using Workday for fixed asset management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A strong understanding of GAAP and SOX.
