Job summary

Sandy Cove Ministries is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Data Entry Specialist to support the Finance department with implementing the Fixed Asset Module in the financial system. The role focuses on entering, validating, and organizing fixed asset data for accurate classification and reporting.

Ideal candidates have intermediate accounting knowledge, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with accounting systems and Excel. This is a temporary/project-based role for the fall semester.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework in accounting or finance preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial transactions.
• Familiarity with asset cost, depreciation, useful life, and net book value is helpful.
• Comfortable working with accounting systems and entering financial data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Fixed Asset Module setup and data entry in the financial system.
• Review, organize, and validate fixed asset information for accuracy.
• Reconcile asset records with general ledger balances and documentation.
• Maintain organized electronic documentation and ensure confidentiality.
• Support testing, reporting, and project deadlines within the Finance team.
