Job summary

Gogo in Broomfield, CO is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to manage long‑term physical property, record asset purchases, track depreciation, and perform monthly reconciliations across multiple locations. The role supports audits and helps ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance.

Responsibilities include asset tracking, depreciation, disposals and transfers, reconciliations, and capitalization decisions. Requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 2–5 years in fixed assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of general ledger or fixed asset accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience (BC, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
• Understanding of GAAP/IFRS and capitalization thresholds.

Responsibilities

• Asset Tracking: research purchases and create asset cards across locations.
• Depreciation: calculate monthly depreciation and useful life metrics.
• Disposals & Transfers: process retirements and inter-location transfers.
• Reconciliations: reconcile sub-ledger to the general ledger at month-end.
• Capital vs. Expense: decide if costs should be capitalized or expensed.
• SOX Controls: maintain fixed assets controls on a timely basis.
• Auditing: prepare reports for audits and tax filings.
