Job summary

Randstad USA seeks a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant for a temporary assignment through year-end. You will manage the fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and monthly close in a fast-paced tech environment.

Requires an Associate degree and 4 years of experience in fixed assets with SOX compliance experience and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive benefits are included; hours are 8 AM–5 PM.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in fixed assets accounting.
  • SOX/compliance knowledge and month-end close involvement.
  • Associate degree in accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Record asset additions, disposals, transfers and lease transactions with depreciation in the fixed asset subledger.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts related to fixed assets.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and support quarterly/audit requests.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on capitalization and asset tracking.

salary: $35 - $40 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
  • Fixed Asset Ledger & Transactions: Record asset additions, disposals, transfers, and lease transactions while processing monthly depreciation and recording adjusting entries in the fixed asset subledger.
  • Account Reconciliation & Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation, reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts related to fixed assets, and resolve account variances during monthly close activities and financial statement preparation.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: Maintain comprehensive fixed asset schedules (tracking depreciation and disposals) and prepare documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audit requests in a SOX-compliant environment.
  • Technical Research & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate capitalization and asset tracking, research accounting questions, document technical conclusions, and perform ad hoc financial analyses as requested.
