Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an experienced engineer to own the end-to-end onboarding of clients to trade global markets via the FIX Protocol. You will handle requirements, connectivity setup, testing, and production go-live, while supporting multiple client types and coordinating with Sales, Trading, and vendor teams.

The role emphasizes cybersecurity, scalable infra, and automation opportunities to streamline onboarding.

Qualifications

FIX expertise with deep understanding of the FIX Protocol and electronic trading workflows.
Strong UNIX/Linux proficiency and experience with SQL and APIs for data analysis.
Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, firewalls, and connectivity tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem solving with a client-first mentality and ability to work under pressure.
Proven ability to manage multiple onboarding projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead technical onboarding for diverse clients across DMA, institutional, and hedge funds.
Conduct FIX certification testing to ensure compliance with specs.
Coordinate network setup, firewalls, VPNs, and dedicated lines.
Serve as primary technical contact for Sales, Trading desks, and external teams.
Provide Level 2 support and analyze logs to resolve production issues.
Develop or improve internal tools and automated testing for onboarding.
Manage deployment of client-specific configurations in a distributed system.
