Job summary

The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced bartender to manage an extensive wine and spirits list and provide attentive, personalized service at the bar. You will guide guests through pairings, maintain a pristine bar area, and collaborate with kitchen and floor staff to ensure a Five-Star experience.

Ideal candidates bring advanced mixology skills, wine knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Hospitality or upscale bartending experience preferred.
• Advanced mixology, wine pairing, and spirit heritage.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email.
• Motivated team player with positive energy and collaboration.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with proper safety practices.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Reasonable accommodation provided for disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Mix classic and craft cocktails with precise measurements and garnishes.
• Greet guests, take orders, and recommend wine and menu pairings.
• Fulfill bar orders promptly for dining room servers and bar guests.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, specials, wine lists, and allergens.
• Monitor stock levels, perform daily inventory, and keep the bar clean.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and adhere to health rules.
• Coordinate with serving and kitchen staff for accurate timing.
• Know table numbers and pivot points for all restaurant areas.
• Report tips in accordance with IRS regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Broadmoor guidelines and standards.
• Learn Broadmoor’s history, estate, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
• Execute additional duties as required.
