Job summary

Scheels in Johnstown, CO is seeking a customer-facing associate to warmly greet customers, manage fitting-room check-ins, and assist with merchandise preparation and inquiries. The role involves answering calls, learning product details, and directing shoppers to the right staff, while maintaining a clean, safe space.

Responsibilities

• Prepare merchandise (buttons, zips, etc.) to return to the selling floor.
• Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional manner.
• Learn product knowledge to assist customers and partner with sales associates.
• Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise and direct customers to the correct associate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitting room environment.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have or be in pursuit of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Schedule and Compensation:

• Hours: Average of 40 hours per week.
• The Shift:
• Includes a mix of opening shifts (Between 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM) up to 2 closing shifts (12:00 PM – 9:00 PM), and a set day off each week.
• Minimum of every other weekend (Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Sundays 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
• Pay: The posted compensation is a base hourly rate of $19/hr.
