Job summary

Scheels in Billings, MT is hiring for a Retail Associate focused on delivering a personalized WOW customer experience in-store. As an employee-owner, you’ll help greet customers, assist with merchandise and fitting rooms, and collaborate with sales teammates to make each visit memorable.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience or training. Scheels offers ESOP ownership, a 401(k) with Roth options, health coverage, life/income protection, and paid time

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and check them in/out of rooms while monitoring merchandise in the fitting room.
  • Prepare merchandise (buttons, zips) to return to the selling floor.
  • Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Learn product knowledge to assist customers and partner with sales associates.
  • Be knowledgeable about location, price, and use of merchandise; direct customers to the right associate.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitting room.

Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise, and direct customers to the correct associate when necessary

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have or be in pursuit of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
