Job summary

Scheels is seeking an enthusiastic retail associate to greet customers, manage fitting room flow, and assist with merchandise preparation and floor replenishment. You will learn product knowledge to support sales teams and ensure accurate information on location, price, and usage while guiding customers to the right associate.

The role emphasizes high standards of service, teamwork, and ownership mentality, with a strong focus on safety and a tidy, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, check customers in and out of rooms, while monitoring the amount of merchandise the customer has in the fitting room
  • Prepares merchandise (buttons, zips, etc.) to return to the selling floor
  • Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and pleasant disposition
  • Learn product knowledge to assist customers and partner effectively with sales associates
  • Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise, and direct customers to the correct associate when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitting room environment

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have or be in pursuit of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
