Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused associate in Sparks, NV, to deliver world-class service in our fitting rooms and greeting area. You will answer calls professionally, assist customers, and support office duties as needed.

You will build product knowledge with sales teams to help reach daily selling goals. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience, and a proactive, positive attitude.

Responsibilities:
  • Assures customers are receiving world class customer service and attention in the fitting rooms
  • Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional and pleasant disposition
  • Be knowledgeable and courteous while assisting customers and transferring calls to appropriate associates or areas for further assistance
  • Assist in general office duties that include mail service, sorting and opening mail to deliver to appropriate individuals/departments, and assisting other office positions as needed
  • Create daily pocket schedules, make signs for all shops
  • Assist in various projects for members of the Leadership team as needed
  • Development of product knowledge and partners with sales associates to help achieve daily selling goals
  • Focuses on fashion trends
  • Checks customers in and out of rooms, while monitoring amount of merchandise the customer has in the fitting room
  • Prepares merchandise (buttons, zips, etc.) to return to the selling floor
  • Be knowledgeable to answer question converting location, price and use of merchandise
  • Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
  • Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi‑task and problem solving skills
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to complete basic mathematical equations
  • Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and be able to clearly explain all benefits

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
