Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Fitter/Welder to lay out, fit, and weld structural components using MIG welding, following blueprints, layouts, and work orders.

You will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, ensure safety, and help train coworkers as needed. Schedule is Fri–Sun 4:00 am–4:30 pm, with 36 hours worked but paid for 40.

This is a full‑time, on‑site role with an Equal Opportunity Employer policy.

Qualifications

• 1 year of welding experience or completion of weld training.
• Familiar with MIG welding and fabricating from blueprints.
• Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and schematics.
• Ability to measure within tolerances with basic tools.
• Strong teamwork and dependable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety rules and practices at all times.
• Lay out subassemblies and final products per blueprints.
• Fit and complete welds and multi-pass welds.
• Position pieces using jigs and measuring tools.
• Maintain records and assist training as needed.
• Support safety initiatives.
