Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, located in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Fitter/Welder to lay out pieces, weld using MIG, and assemble structural components per blueprints and layouts. You will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment while following safety protocols.

Position requires reading blueprints, tight tolerance measurement, and potentially training other employees. Schedule supports a 36-hour workweek paid as 40 hours, Fri–Sun, 4:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 1 year of welding experience or successful weld training.
• Flux or Metal Core welding experience highly preferred.
• Ability to measure within specified tolerances.
• Ability to read blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders.

Aufgaben

• Observe all safety practices and follow safety rules.
• Lay out and cut complex subassemblies and final product.
• Fit and complete final welds and/or multi-pass welds.
• Position pieces to be welded using jigs, fixtures, guides, and measuring tools.
• Maintain and complete records.
• Participate in safety initiatives.
• Train other employees on new tasks.
