Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Fitter Welder for the Valley, NE area. You will weld and clean welds, study blueprints to select welding procedures, and ensure weld soundness and integrity.

This full-time role offers 2nd shift 3 pm–11 pm or 3rd shift 11 pm–7 am, Paid training, and a clean, safe work environment. Qualified applicants read blueprints, maintain AWS/CWB certifications, and accurately use tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and Versa gauges.

Qualifications

• Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets for welding.
• Pass and maintain weld certificates (AWS, CWB) for required customers.
• Read tape measures and calipers to specifications.

Job description

Fitter Welder – $28.57 - $29.43/hr

What will you be doing?

• Weld and cleaning of welds

• Use blueprints to determine which weld procedure to use in order to assure weld soundness and integrity

What do you bring?

• Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets without assistance and use them to properly weld scheduled work

• Pass and maintain weld certificates for AWS, CWB, and several other customers required certifications in GMAW welding

• Setup, operate, and performs general maintenance of equipment without difficulty

• Make mathematical calculation in finish welding product to the proper specifications

• Accurately read and use a tape measure, compass, micrometer, mag level, protractor, versa gauge, and caliper
