Key Responsibilities:

• Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications to plan fitting and welding operations.

• Fitting and Assembly:Fit and assemble structural frameworks and components according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and fit.

• Welding Operations:Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal components.

• Quality Assurance:Inspect fitted and welded assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

• Equipment Maintenance:Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs on welding and fitting equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Safety Compliance:Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.

Qualifications:

• Experience:Proven experience as a fitter/welder in a fabrication shop environment.
