The Haskell Company in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing/Shop Support role to assist fitters, welders, and operators in structural steel fabrication. You will help with material staging, cleaning, and general shop duties in a safety-conscious environment.

This entry-level position begins as NPCs (temporary employees) for an initial 45-day period, with the opportunity to transition to permanent employee status based on performance.

Scope of Position

Supports structural steel fabrication operations by assisting fitters, welders, machine operators, material handlers, and other production personnel in the fabrication of structural steel components and assemblies. Performs a variety of shop support activi ties including material staging, grinding, material handling, housekeeping, and assisting with fabrication and assembly activities while maintaining a safe and productive work environment .

Job Responsibilitie

• s1. Operate punches, grinders, drills, saws, oxy - fuel torches, and other basic equipment, hand tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• 2. Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• 3. Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and assemblies during fabrication activities.
• 4. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and serviceable condition.
• 5. Assist fitters, welders, machine operators, material handlers, and other production personnel as required to support fabrication operations.
• 6. Gather, stage, stack, identify, organize, move, lift, and transfer structural steel material throughout the fabrication facility and safely operate overhead cranes when properly trained and authorized.
• 7. Assist with measuring, marking, and layout activities as directed.
• 8. Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
• 9. Perform general housekeeping and shop support activities throughout the fabrication facility.
• 10. Other duties which may be assigned as needed.

Education & Years of Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous manufacturing, fabrication, construction, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred .
