Job summary

The YMCA of Southern Arizona is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer at the Ott Family YMCA in Tucson. You will support members in developing healthier habits, promote wellness programs, and guide individuals toward their personal best with encouragement and education.

Responsibilities include leading wellness sessions, performing assessments, maintaining records, handling payments, and ensuring safety and policy compliance while upholding the YMCA values of honesty, caring, respect and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current national Personal Training Certification required and valid.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
• HIPAA and YMCA online training completed upon hire.
• Flexible schedule availability.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell wellness services and programs to members.
• Demonstrates proper exercise techniques and safety during orientations and sessions.
• Understand injury prevention and basic emergency procedures.
• Conduct assessments to tailor wellness plans for members.
• Maintain member records and process payments.
• Enforce YMCA policies and safety guidelines.
• Attend trainings and keep certifications current.
