Planet Fitness in Villa Park, IL is seeking a Fitness Trainer for a full-time role with a pay range of $18.00–$21.00 per hour. The schedule is set: Mon & Fri 6a-2p, Tue-Thu 12p-8p.

You will design personalized exercise programs for members, ensure safety, and uphold a high level of customer service within our Judgement Free environment. Qualifications include being 18+, able to lift 45+ pounds, and NASM/ACSM/ACE/NCSF/NSCA/ISSA/WITS certifications (or join as Member Service Representative with 6

Job Location: EFG Villa Park - Villa Park, IL 60181, Salary Range: $18.00 - $21.00 Hourly, Job Shift: FT: Mon & Fri 6a-2p, Tues-Thurs 12p-8p

Job Responsibilities

• Designing individual exercise programs for each member based on their exercise experience, medical background and personal goals.
• Develop and implement exercise programs that are safe, effective and appropriate for individuals who are apparently healthy or have medical clearance to exercise.
• The Fitness Trainer is responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests and ensuring an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience!

Qualifications

• Continuing standing and walking during your shift.
• Continuing talking to members and potential members in person and on the phone during your shift.
• Desire and capacity to train at all fitness levels.
• Must be able to lift 45+ pounds.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited certifications such as: NASM, ACSM, ACE, NCSF, NSCA, ISSA and/or WITS (discounts and reimbursement available).
• If candidate does not have a certification upon hire, they will be hired in as a Member Service Representative, at the Member Service Representatives rate of pay, and need to obtain certification within 6 months from hire date.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Punctuality and reliability is a must.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
