Job summary

Planet Fitness in Saint Clair Shores, MI is seeking a Fitness Trainer to design personalized exercise programs for members, ensuring safety and effectiveness for all fitness levels. You will deliver high-quality customer service and help maintain a Judgment Free, welcoming atmosphere.

The role requires 18+ years old, ability to lift 45+ pounds, and certification options (NASM/ACSM/ACE/NCSF/NSCA/ISSA/WITS) with a plan to obtain if not already held.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to lift 45+ pounds.
• NCCA-accredited certifications such as NASM/ACSM/ACE/NCSF/NSCA/ISSA or WITS preferred; if not certified upon hire, plan to obtain within 6 months.

Job Location: Saint Clair Shores, MI 48080-1972 Salary Range: $16.75 Hourly Job Shift: Full Time We are looking for Fitness Trainers who want to be part of our team! The Fitness Trainer is an opportunity to begin your fitness career as well as provide leadership opportunities and growth. • This position has a $1/hour premium added to any hours worked 10:00 PM-6:00 AM.

As a Planet Fitness Trainer, you would be:

• Designing individual exercise programs for each member based on their exercise experience, medical background and personal goals.
• Develop and implement exercise programs that are safe, effective and appropriate for individuals who are apparently healthy or have medical clearance to exercise.
• The Fitness Trainer is responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests and ensuring an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience!

Qualifications Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Continual standing and walking during your shift.
• Continual talking to members and potential members in person and on the phone during your shift.
• Desire and capacity to train at all fitness levels.
• Must be able to lift 45+ pounds.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited certifications such as: NASM, ACSM, ACE, NCSF, NSCA, ISSA and/or WITS (discounts and reimbursement available). If candidate does not have a certification upon hire, they will be hired in as a Member Service Representative, at the Member Service Representatives rate of pay, and need to obtain certification within 6 months from hire date.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Punctuality and reliability is a must.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
