Job summary

Planet Fitness in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a full-time fitness professional to design personalized exercise programs for members, with emphasis on safety and measurable results. You will support a welcoming, judgment-free environment and help guests achieve their health goals.

Responsibilities

• Design individual exercise programs for members based on experience, medical background, and goals.
• Develop and implement safe, effective exercise programs for individuals who are apparently healthy or have medical clearance to exercise.
• Provide a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an exceptional judgment‑free member experience.

Qualifications

• Continual standing and walking during your shift.
• Continual talking to members and potential members in person and on the phone.
• Desire and capacity to train at all fitness levels.
• Must be able to lift 45+ pounds.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited certifications such as NASM, ACSM, ACE, NCSF, NSCA, ISSA, and/or WITS (discounts and reimbursement available).
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem‑solving ability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
