Job summary

Flynn Group is hiring a Fitness Trainer for Planet Fitness through Flynn Fitness. The role supports the PE@PF program and helps members achieve their fitness goals by guiding safe workouts and proper equipment use.

Reporting to the Club Manager, you will contribute to member retention, club revenue, and a welcoming Judgement Free environment while maintaining certifications and participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Certification required: Nationally Certified Training.
• Passion for fitness and health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the PE@PF program with fitness consultations.
• Assist members on the gym floor with proper equipment use.
• Maintain cleanliness of the club areas and facility.
• Support front desk tasks as needed (check-in, tours, calls).
• Maintain participation logs for PE@PF classes.
• Keep Personal Training and CPR certifications current.
• Complete trainings and new learning as directed.
• Inspire and motivate members; foster a welcoming environment.

Reporting to the Club Manager, the Fitness Trainer will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group program (PE@PF) while supporting the club manager to drive member retention and club revenue. This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the PE@PF program: This requires fitness consultations and introducing members to the benefit of our program
• Assist members on the gym floor with proper use of equipment and engage to peak interest in PE@PF program
• Assist club staff in maintaining cleanliness of club. This includes: bathroom checks, 30 minute circuit room, PF 360 area and continuous racking/re-rack of weights as needed
• As needed support for front desk (e.g.- check-in members, club tours, info calls and greeting)
• Maintain participation log of each facilitated class to monitor PE@PF program performance
• Maintain accredited certifications throughout employment: Personal Training and CPR
• Complete company assigned trainings and additional learning as directed
• Inspire and motivate others to achieve their goals
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude while motivating members and supporting a welcoming, Judgement Free environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Frequent walking throughout the facility.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reaching, bending, and kneeling.
• Ability to work in a busy, noisy fitness environment.
