Job Summary

The Fitness Trainer will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing them on proper equipment use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and adhering to the schedule.
• Consult with members about their fitness goals and instruct them on safe and proper equipment use.
• Create bi-weekly exercise updates with a variety of routines.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist with front desk activities, including:
  • Answering phones courteously and assisting callers.
  • Checking members into the system.
  • Signing up new members.
  • Guiding prospective members on tours.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A passion for fitness and health.
• Positive and upbeat attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and positively with members and staff.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.
• Current CPR certification.
• Nationally Certified Training Certificate.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking continuously during shifts.
• Talking in person and on the phone regularly.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals.
