Salary Range: $19.20 To $23.00 Hourly
SCOPE OF WORK: The Fitness Technician will support the Diabetes Prevention Office in promoting physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and diabetes prevention through community-based fitness and wellness activities. The Fitness Technician will assist individuals and community members in developing safe, practical, and sustainable physical activity habits that support diabetes prevention and overall health.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: The Fitness Technician works in a community-based environment that may include offices, fitness facilities, schools, community centers, and outdoor settings, requiring regular standing, walking, physical activity, exercise demonstration, occasional lifting of equipment, and flexible hours to support community wellness programs and activities.
TESTING AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
Subject to pre‑employment, post‑accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
Tribal, State, and Federal background investigation.
HIRING PREFERENCES:
Qualified applicants who are enrolled members of a federally recognized Tribe will receive Native American preference.
Qualified applicants will receive Veteran’s Preference with submission of proof of honorable military service (e.g., DD-214).
