YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a Lead Fitness Excellence at the Indian Boundary YMCA. You will coordinate fitness programs, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality workouts for members across areas including fitness, Active Older Adults, and strength training.

The role involves planning and delivering classes, supporting marketing and retention efforts, and assisting with department budgeting while maintaining safe, effective workout spaces.

Qualificações

• Certified personal trainer and/or group exercise instructor credentials.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 1–3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Minimum age of 18 and knowledge of fitness instruction and health prevention.

Responsabilidades

• Recruits, trains, and supervises staff and volunteers.
• Develops and implements fitness programs and seasonal events.
• Plans and instructs classes for individuals or groups; supports marketing and retention.
• Assists with department budget development and management.
• Maintains records and attends trainings; ensures safety and equipment readiness.
• Promotes YMCA programs and encourages long-term member participation.
• Supports center operations and mission of the YMCA.

Conhecimentos
