REPORTS TO: Building Principal

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides fitness activities for students in grades K-6.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Implement school physical education program to encourage lifelong healthy habits.
2. Plan and implement lesson plans with moderate to vigorous physical activity.
3. Assess students' physical abilities and tailor activities to increase fitness levels.
4. Demonstrate proper skills for activities.
5. Promote safety in all activities.
6. Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
7. Follow curriculum guidelines and state requirements.
8. Keep attendance records.
9. Maintain discipline in classroom and on grounds.
10. Meet with parents regarding student progress.
11. Participate in meetings and training.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Ability to sit up to 8 hours with intermittent walking, standing, bending, and squatting. Reasonable accommodations available.

Salary: $19.50/hour

Hours per day: 7 hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
