Job description

FOX is seeking a top-caliber Fitness Specialist to join our growing team in the Castleton, IN area, serving three senior living communities. Start your career today and join our fight to abolish ageism.

This position is approximately 10-15 hours weekly.

Current classes are from 9:30-11:30, with some 1:1 sessions as well.

Founded in 1998, FOX was the FIRST private practice in the country to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population. Helping patients restore the quality of life they deserve and desire, our focus is on the rehabilitation of lives delivered through evidence-based therapy with innovative and proactive treatment.

The Fitness Specialist opportunity entails the following:

• Patient continuity: Patients are prescribed exercise programs to maintain functional levels after discharge from rehabilitation services.

• Excellent support system: FOX provides significant support for our Fitness Specialists through leadership, clinical education, and an assigned Program Manager.

Requirements:

• Must have one of the following:
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Exercise Physiology;
• Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized and accredited organization (e.g., ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA);
• or prior experience as a fitness trainer, with willingness to become a Certified Personal Trainer.

• Routine travel to patient residences and between senior living communities.

• Expand territory as needed.

• Travel as required by practice needs.

• CPR Certification.

• Previous experience working with older adults in a proactive wellness setting is preferred.

• Basic computer skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
