Job summary

The Fort Athletic Club in Oceanport, NJ is seeking a part-time Membership Consultant to drive new member acquisition and retention. You will manage the sales process from inquiry to close, conduct tours, and promote memberships with a focus on service and relationship-building.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales, preferably in fitness or wellness.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong customer service orientation and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma; additional education in sales or fitness-related fields is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote membership and services to achieve monthly sales targets.
• Engage with potential members in-person and over the phone to understand goals and recommend packages.
• Lead generation: implement strategies to attract prospective members; follow up promptly.
• Build relationships with current and prospective members to enhance retention.
• Conduct facility tours for prospective members, showcasing staff, amenities, and services.
• Assist in processing new membership applications and payments accurately.
• Support marketing initiatives and events to drive membership growth.
