Job summary

Lewis JCC in West Nyack, NY is seeking a self-motivated Fitness Membership Director to lead membership growth and retention. You will supervise sales associates and the member experience coordinator, partner with marketing, and develop clear plans to meet monthly targets.

This is a leadership role with a focus on customer service and fitness excellence. Strong sales background, excellent communication, and a Bachelor's degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience, preferably in a membership sales capacity.
• Outstanding people skills and ability to interact professionally with internal and external constituencies of all ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute monthly sales targets and retention goals.
• Develop clear, consistent, and effective sales plans and strategies to meet established goals.
• Work with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies and materials to assist with sales.
• Manage a set of KPIs: prospecting, tours, referrals, etc.
• Develop prospects and generate leads for potential new members.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new members.
• Promote the JCC to the greater Rockland Community through events and outreach.
• Plan and execute membership appreciation programs and new member events.
• Promote other areas of the JCC when appropriate.

Principal Responsibilities:

Come grow with us! The Lewis JCC (formerly JCC Rockland) is seeking a self-motivated, passionate team player to join us as our Fitness Membership Director. If you possess a true dedication to helping others achieve their health and wellness goals, this leadership role offers an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact. In this role, you will work in close partnership with the other Fitness Managers, and supervise sales associates, and the member experience coordinator. The Fitness Membership Director will remain acutely aware of day-to-day member experiences in the fitness center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and execute monthly sales targets and retention goals.
• Develop clear, consistent, and effective sales plans and strategies to meet established goals.
• Work with the JCC's marketing team to develop marketing strategies and materials to assist with sales.
• Manage a set of Key Performance Indicators: prospecting, tours, referrals, etc.
• Develop prospects and generate leads for potential new members
• Oversee the onboarding process for new members
• Promote the JCC to the greater Rockland Community through community events, grassroots efforts, local businesses, local affinity groups, etc.
• Perform regular check-ins, and welcome back members who go on a freeze
• Plan and execute regular membership appreciation programs and new member appreciation events
• Promote other areas of the JCC, when appropriate: Camp, Early Childhood, Adult Life Programs, Sports and Rec., etc.
