Our FX Well division operates 9 fitness facilities located throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area that are associated with Texas Health Resources. The person in this position hires and manages the personal trainers and group instructors at their location within a framework to position FX Well as the preferred choice for fitness services in the region. Works closely with both the location manager and the Regional Training Director to ensure we respond to the needs and requests of our members.

Duties And Responsibilities Include:

1. Collaborates on the hiring and onboarding of personal trainers and group class instructors for the assigned location;
2. Supports the development and success of all the fitness service providers, including the growth of individuals’ client books and activities to support business growth;
3. Oversees and supervises the fitness staff members on a day-to-day basis, tracking performance against company KPIs and metrics and managing performance issues;
4. Collaborates with the senior management team, business development teammates, and other marketing staff to generate the best marketing possible for the services and location; and
5. Assists with fitness special events, monitors & reports issues with facility machines, and supports other related activities.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as exercise science or kinesiology preferred, or comparable work experience;
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a personal trainer or fitness instructor, including proven success in expanding your client base and generating new leads;
3. Minimum of 3 years managing a team of fitness and wellness trainers, including hiring, talent management, and oversight of contractor trainers;
4. Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and listening—paired with good emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills;
5. Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset addressing problems with good judgment;
6. Ability to work well in a team environment and accept constructive feedback;
7. Current national certification (NSCA, ASCM, NASM) preferred, and certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid;
8. Proficiency with MS Office and general computer skills; experience with ABC Fitness Solutions is a plus.
