Job summary

Supreme Fitness Group is seeking a motivated fitness trainer to lead the Planet Fitness PE@PF program on-site in Chatsworth, CA. You will consult with members on fitness goals and teach safe, proper equipment use to support a welcoming, results-oriented environment.

The role emphasizes guest service, schedule adherence, problem solving, and teamwork with managers to ensure a clean and safe club experience for all members.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified trainer certificate is required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to listen, empathize, and problem-solve with members.
• Punctuality and reliability are mandatory.
• Previous fitness trainer/instructor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to properly and safely use the equipment.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members on the club floor, offering assistance, and showing support.
• Perform a comprehensive walk of all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience and address issues promptly.
• Create bi‑weekly updates of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, elevating to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Assist with front desk activities: answer phones, check members into the system, handle new member sign‑ups, take prospective members on tours, and facilitate account updates.
• Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including cleaning and sanitizing exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities.
• Perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas, fixing safety or policy issues and addressing cleanliness concerns.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter‑free according to the routine cleaning schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous fitness trainer/instructor experience preferred.
• Nationally certified training certificate required.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability mandatory.
• Exceptional customer service skills; capable of interacting positively and professionally with members and coworkers, exceeding expectations.
• Strong listening, empathetic, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to toxic chemicals during shift.
• Moving self in different positions, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting.
