Supreme Fitness Group in Buena Park, CA is seeking an energetic Fitness Trainer to guide members through workouts, demonstrate proper technique, and foster a welcoming, judgment-free atmosphere. The position demands reliability, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve goals.

You will lead classes and personal sessions, assist with club operations at the front desk, and maintain equipment safety and cleanliness in compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified training certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding fitness goals and instruct proper and safe equipment use.
• Promote a judgment-free zone by connecting with members and upholding club policies.
• Perform comprehensive walks of fitness areas to ensure member experience and address issues promptly.
• Create bi-weekly updates of various exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Respond to member questions and escalate to management when needed.
• Answer phones, check in members, complete new signups, and give tours at the front desk.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and spa amenities.

Education

Core Fitness Instructor Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on proper and safe equipment use
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members, offering assistance, and showing support while upholding club policies
• Perform comprehensive walks of all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience and address issues promptly
• Create bi‑weekly updates of various exercises
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager when needed

Front Desk Related Activities

• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions
• Check members into the system
• Complete new member sign‑ups
• Take prospective members on tours
• Facilitate updates to members’ accounts

Maintenance of Club Cleanliness

• Clean and sanitize all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities
• Perform comprehensive walks of all club areas to address safety, policy, and cleanliness concerns
• Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter‑free following the routine cleaning schedule

Qualifications

• Previous fitness trainer/instructor experience preferred
• Nationally certified training certificate required
• A passion for fitness and health
• Upbeat and positive attitude
• Punctuality and reliability required
• Exceptional customer service skills, able to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers
• Strong listening and problem‑solving abilities
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking throughout the shift
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to toxic chemicals during the shift
• Ability to move into different positions, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting, to accomplish tasks
