Job summary

Supreme Fitness Group in Garden Grove, CA is seeking a Core Fitness Instructor to lead the PE@PF program, guide members toward their goals, and maintain a welcoming Judgement Free Zone on the club floor.

You will perform front-desk duties, greet callers, sign up new members, conduct tours, and ensure cleanliness and safety across all areas.

Qualified applicants have a nationally certified training certificate, a high school diploma or GED, and strong customer service skills; 18+.

Qualifications

• Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience as fitness trainer/instructor preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program and schedule.
• Instruct members on proper and safe equipment use and discuss fitness goals.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone and assist members on the club floor.
• Perform frequent walks of fitness areas to ensure member experience and address issues.
• Create bi-weekly exercise updates.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and traffic.
• Address member questions promptly and escalate as needed.
• Assist at front desk: answer phones, check-in, sign-ups, tours, update accounts.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitization; clean equipment and spa amenities; ensure restrooms are clean and stocked.

Salary Range: $16.90 - $16.90 Hourly

Responsibilities

Core Fitness Instructor Responsibilities:

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to properly and safely use the equipment.
• Help to promote the Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members on the club floor, offering assistance and showing support in their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
• Frequently perform a comprehensive walk of all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience and quickly address identified issues.
• Create bi‑weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.

Assist in front desk related activities:

• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• Check members into the system.
• New member sign‑up.
• Take prospective members on tours.
• Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.

Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club:

• Cleaning and sanitizing of all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities.
• Perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas; quickly fix any safety or policy issues and address cleanliness concerns.
• Ensuring restrooms are clean and sanitized, stocked and clutter‑free by following the routine cleaning schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous Fitness Trainer/Instructor experience preferred.
• Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability required.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and coworkers, exceeding expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem‑solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Will encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
• Moving self in different positions, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting to accomplish tasks.
