Job summary

The City of Lewisville is seeking a part-time gym attendant to support the gymnasium, fitness floor, and related programs. You will monitor equipment usage, assist with program setup, and help guests with facility procedures.

Responsibilities include communicating class schedules, certifying youth for equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and promoting Thrive fitness initiatives. CPR/First Aid certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and a pre-employment drug test and background

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of fitness experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work outdoors as required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with fitness floor participants about classes, programs, and events.
• Assist with certifying youth for use of fitness equipment.
• Monitor and program fitness/gym equipment and activities.
• Rack weights as needed.
• Keep all areas and equipment clean.
• Notify supervisors of facility issues or guest concerns.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Educate Thrive guests on facility procedures.
• Promote Thrive fitness and programming.
• Observe and redirect unsafe or negative behaviors.
• Assist with open play time and special events.
• Ensure safety and administer first aid as necessary.
• Conduct Fitness Orientations.
• Document walkthrough checklists and weekly logs.
• Attend mandatory trainings.
