Job summary

Delnor Health & Fitness Center in Geneva, IL, is seeking a Fitness Manager to lead the Fitness, Aquatic, Group Exercise and Medical Integration teams, ensuring an exceptional member experience and profitable services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a health-related field, 2+ years in supervision and a valid NCCA certification, with CPR/AED within 90 days. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health-related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of fitness/wellness industry experience required.
• NCCA-accredited certification required.
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to supervisors, coordinators and associates in all managed departments.
• Assist Fitness Center Director with daily center operations and provide leadership in their absence.
• Assist with member retention through development of retention programs.
• Coordinate with Medical Advisory Committee to ensure engagement and safety protocols.
• Oversee procedures and fitness programs for cost-effectiveness and alignment with member needs.
• Ensure safety drills, incident reporting and compliance with Power Wellness standards.
• Review and evaluate fitness programs based on attendance and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist with budgeting for fitness department operating and capital needs.
• Work Manager on Duty shifts as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
