Premise offers a wide range of dynamic, purpose-driven career opportunities. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Fitness Center Manager to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK.

Purpose of the Position

To lead a goal-focused, innovative, engaging fitness and physical activity program. Primary responsibilities include developing strategy, leading efforts to promote physical activity, overseeing fitness center services and daily operations, managing staff, client relationships, safety, data collection, reporting, and subcontractors.

Essential Job Functions
  • Oversee daily operations of the fitness center, including team management, program management, and facility management.
  • Model and ensure excellent customer service to participants and client partners.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key client goals for the fitness program.
  • Manage group exercise, personal training, internship programs, member recruitment and retention, marketing, and outreach.
  • Create and manage budgets, produce reports and summaries.
  • Lead meetings to engage the team and focus on goals.
  • Design and deliver physical activity and wellness programs aligned with strategic goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team, clients, and supervisors.
  • Conduct member satisfaction surveys and develop improvement plans.
  • Handle hiring, payroll, training, and evaluations.
  • Provide exercise leadership following ACSM guidelines, including teaching classes, assessments, and prescriptions.
  • Address customer issues and ensure resolution.
  • Support staff development and retention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in exercise science or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • Personal Training certification from recognized organization required within 6 months of hire.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  • Group Exercise certification preferred.
  • Advanced certifications (FMS, Exercise is Medicine, etc.) preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years in fitness industry (corporate experience preferred).
  • 1+ years management experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web programs.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Professional demeanor, enthusiasm, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and innovation.
