The Part-Time Fitness Attendant is responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience at the Fitness Center within the Mandel Recreation Center. This highly visible, customer service-oriented position involves greeting patrons, maintaining facility cleanliness and safety, and supporting Recreation Center operations. We are looking for enthusiastic team players who are dependable, adaptable, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

• Greet and assist all guests in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner.
• Monitor the Fitness Center floor, ensuring safety and cleanliness at all times.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment, free weights, mats, and surrounding areas regularly.
• Fold, restock, and manage towel service for members and guests.
• Assist with minor custodial duties and ensure the facility remains neat and welcoming.
• Register participants for fitness classes, personal training sessions, and recreation programs using a computerized POS system.
• Enforce facility rules and policies in a courteous, consistent manner.
• Support Recreation Center activities and events as needed, including program setup and breakdown.
• Provide front desk coverage and respond to phone and in-person inquiries.
• Maintain current knowledge of fitness and recreation programs, schedules, and facility updates to effectively communicate with patrons.

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a credit check.
• Experience within the Recreation Field is preferred.

This is a part-time, year-round position with a regular weekly schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Flexibility and willingness to assist across different recreation areas are key to success in this role.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills.
• Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems and handling cash transactions.
• Willingness to adapt to different roles and responsibilities as needed within the facility.
