Orchard LLC is seeking a Policy & Analytical Support Analyst to join NOAA's West Coast Sustainable Fisheries Division in Sacramento, CA. You will work at the intersection of science, policy, and public service to support rulemaking, briefing papers, and stakeholder communications.

Formación

• Experience in policy and analysis related to fisheries or other renewable natural resources.
• Ability to articulate biological and policy information to nontechnical audiences, both in writing and orally.
• Ability to work with people from diverse scientific and technical backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and be solution-oriented and a self-starter.
• Experience in preparing regulations is preferable.

Responsabilidades

• Support development of rulemaking packages required for proposed management actions under relevant acts.
• Collaborate with HMS Branch on preparing briefing papers and policy documents for meetings.
• Maintain correspondence to IATTC Secretariat and regional stakeholders; coordinate data submissions under TCA.
• Participate on committees and report progress and results to HMS Branch Chief.
