Job summary

Entarian seeks a senior Fisheries Management SME to support federal actions and environmental compliance. You will develop, review, and implement management actions under Magnuson-Stevens Act, translating complex science into practical regulatory documents.

The role emphasizes technical writing, cross-organizational collaboration, and clear communication with diverse stakeholders nationwide, with mostly remote work in the continental US.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in fisheries, marine biology, environmental science, natural resource management, marine policy, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience supporting fisheries management, environmental compliance, or federal programs.
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident and able to pass background investigation for security badge.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of fisheries management actions under Executive Order 14276.
• Draft and review FMPs, amendments, regulatory actions, briefing materials, and supporting docs.
• Conduct NEPA analyses and supporting scientific analyses.
• Evaluate management alternatives and provide technical recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate with NMFS regional offices, staff, scientists, economists, and regulatory specialists.
• Support development of regulatory packages and administrative records.
• Review and synthesize scientific studies, policy documents, and public comments.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support meetings, workgroups, and council activities as needed.
