Qualifications

• PhD from an accredited university in a relevant field (geomorphology, oceanography, hydrology, fisheries, ecology, math or statistics).
• 1+ year experience with NOAA West Coast programs or related agencies.
• Experience writing reports and publishing peer‐reviewed articles; familiarity with standard software.
• Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with common workplace software.

Responsibilities

• Compile, organize, and analyze large-scale spatial and temporal datasets.
• Synthesize findings in technical reports and peer-reviewed manuscripts; present at meetings.
• Conduct literature reviews on predator consumption, abundance, distribution, and environmental stressors.
• Support field data collection across West Coast environments, safely outdoors.
• Standardize and share data, workflows, and research outputs to ensure transparency.
