The role acts as a key liaison among project proponents, the fish screening and fish passage programs, and the Habitat Division.

• advance ODFW priorities for fish screening, fish passage and aquatic restoration in the Klamath Watershed
• serve as liaison between project proponents, the fish screening program, fish passage program and Habitat Division
• outreach and provide technical assistance to irrigation districts, water users, watershed councils and conservation groups in the Klamath Basin
• perform data collection, analysis, and evaluation for potential fish screening and passage projects and habitat restoration projects, including project coordination
• participate in a wide range of other fish, wildlife, and habitat related activities throughout the Klamath Basin
• possess or obtain an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) as required

What you will do:

In this role, you will be tasked with advancing ODFW priorities for fish screening, fish passage and aquatic restoration efforts in the Klamath Watershed. The position is a critical liaison between project proponents, the fish screening program, fish passage program and Habitat Division. You will be responsible for outreach and providing technical assistance to irrigation districts, water users, watershed councils and conservation groups in the Klamath Basin. Additionally, you will perform data collection, analysis, and evaluation for potential fish screening and passage projects and associated habitat restoration projects, as well as project coordination. You will be part of the Klamath Watershed District and as such, will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of other fish, wildlife, and habitat related activities throughout the Klamath Basin.
