Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking part-time, event-based bartenders for Milwaukee venues in partnership with FISERV Forum, Bucks, and Marquette Eagles. You will provide high-quality beverage service, upsell to guests, and maintain exceptional guest satisfaction.

Requirements include 1–2 years of bartending in high-volume settings, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ServSafe certification, and flexible event-based hours. Compensation starts at $16.13/hour with union benefits and team perks.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume setting is preferred.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete steps of service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain service areas and follow cash handling guidelines.
• Deliver beverages timely and upsell as appropriate.
• Communicate guest issues to management and adhere to company policies.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Service

• Completes steps of service to ensure utmost guest satisfaction
• Understands and can describe menu offerings, packaging/presentation and pricing
• Establishes rapport with guests/members
• Effectively uses suggestive and upselling techniques
• Adheres to location appearance guidelines
• Acts with a sense of urgency and provides friendly, efficient service to teammates and guests
• Delivers properly prepared beverages in a timely manner
• Responds to guest needs and requests

Controls

• Maintains service areas
• Follows cash handling and tip reporting guidelines
• Accurately uses POS system
• Employs good safety and sanitation practices
• Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment
• Follows Core Levy beverage recipes and specifications
• Thoroughly completes all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities
• Communicates guest issues to management
• Adheres to Levy Restaurants Company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook

Team

• Displays a positive attitude toward teammates and managers
• Helps fellow team members whenever necessary
• Always on time and ready to perform all required duties

Job Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience bartending in a high-volume capacity preferred
• Lifts and transports up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends and cleans to maintain service area
• Walks and stands during entire shift
• English reading, writing, and math skills required
• Possible job hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess any required certifications to do so
• Able to communicate effectively with managers, guests and teammates by speaking and
  comprehending English

Proposed Skills, Qualifications, and Abilities

• Able to accurately use POS system
• Making cocktails and pouring liquo
• Possesses Class D Operator's license
• Able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds
• Practices RAS and abides by all Levy, Bucks, City, and state alcohol service
• Must be ServSafe certified
