Job summary

Delaware County Children and Youth Services is seeking a Fiscal Technician to support its financial and eligibility functions. The role involves reviewing eligibility for children in custody, maintaining databases, and tracking diverse payments, including DRO and Social Security transactions.

Attention to legal documents for Title IV E compliance is essential. Responsibilities include preparing information responses for agencies and staff and ensuring accurate data management.

Qualifications

• One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or one year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

This position supports the financial and eligibility functions that allow Delaware County Children and Youth Services to operate smoothly and provide vital services. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:

• Financial Tracking: Track and report payments including DRO and Social Security transactions
• Documentation Checks: Examine court orders and other legal records for compliance with Title IV E regulations
• Information Requests: Prepare responses for information needed by agencies and program staff

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
• Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
• One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

• You must pass a background investigation.
