Delco Pa is seeking a County Fiscal Officer 1 to support the financial operations of Adult and Family Services and the Medical Assistance Transportation Programs. The role involves maintaining records, reviewing transactions, and preparing key financial reports to ensure responsible funding and meeting program needs.

Key duties include applying Excel skills, coordinating with providers and staff, maintaining revenue and expense accounts, and assisting with audits and budget monitoring.

Qualifications

• Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting.
• Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting.
• Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting.
• One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong Excel abilities, communicate clearly, and maintain careful attention to detail.
• Work with service providers, program staff, and county financial offices to support efficient processes.
• Create and organize revenue and expense accounts and maintain provider information in the accounting system.
• Prepare documents for auditor review and assist with presentations for various audits.
• Track program and provider budgets and review expenses to support accurate financial oversight.
• Analyze billed rates for services and review provider reports to identify trends and support accurate reporting

Description of Work

This position supports the financial operations of the Adult and Family Services (AFS) and Medical Assistance Transportation Programs (MATP) by maintaining accurate records, reviewing transactions, and preparing key financial reports. The role plays an important part in ensuring that funding is managed responsibly and that program needs are met. As a County Fiscal Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Account Management: Create and organize revenue and expense accounts and maintain provider information in the accounting system
