Job summary

Washington State University is seeking a Fiscal Analyst 2 for the School of Molecular Biosciences in Pullman. The role provides comprehensive financial reporting, GAAP-compliant analysis, and budget projections to support the unit’s operations.

You will prepare budget reports, analyze trends, and balance operating and permanent budgets while ensuring alignment with policy and startup funding needs. This is a full-time, permanent position with defined salary ranges and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with accounting, auditing, or budgeting coursework.
• Experience working accurately with numbers.
• Experience with computers, spreadsheets and databases.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial information, report preparation and analysis for School of Molecular Biosciences accounts.
• Prepare budget reports, analyze trends and balance allocations and expenses.
• Lead staff and advise on purchasing, contracts, travel and other operational tasks.
