Nelnet in Lincoln, NE and Brownsville, TX is seeking a customer-focused collections associate to contact borrowers by phone, mail, and email to establish payment arrangements and rectify delinquencies. You will work within a performance-based environment and contribute to continuous process improvement.
The role requires a high school diploma and about two years in customer service or collections; strong negotiation and communication skills; and basic PC knowledge.

Collect severely delinquent student loans in order to protect Nelnet assets. Initiate manual outbound collection attempts. Initiate a small percentage of incoming calls. Some auto-dialer work will be required.
Pay: $15.75/hour
Potential to earn commission up to $1250.00 per month
Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:30 a.m. CST- 8:00 p.m. CST
High school degree or equivalent required.
2 year customer service, collection and general work experience preferred.
