Job summary

The University of Notre Dame seeks qualified faculty to teach the Moreau First-Year Seminar MOR 10101, a one‑credit course meeting 75 minutes weekly for 11 weeks in the fall. The syllabus is shared, yet instructors can adapt sessions to engage students and foster meaningful discussion.

Each instructor is paired with a Moreau Peer Leader and will participate in spring/summer training. Compensation includes a $4,000 stipend per course and a $250 training stipend upon completion.

Responsibilities

• Act as instructor of record for MOR 10101.
• Attend ~6 Spring/Summer 2027 training sessions for new faculty and ~3 for returning faculty.
• Plan and facilitate weekly 75-minute class sessions for 11 weeks in the fall.
• Collaborate weekly with the Moreau Peer Leader for instructional support.
• Coordinate with fellow instructors for the fall term activities and events.
• Interact with students outside the classroom as needed.
• Assess student work and submit grades in a timely manner.
