Job summary

Apex Tool Group in Apex, NC is seeking a Yard Jockey for our distribution center. The role moves trailers, operates forklifts, and uses RF/WMS to fulfill orders, with a 1st shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods. CDL-A and DOT physical are preferred. We offer strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Full range of motion.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• CDL-A and DOT physical are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move tractor trailers around docks on the premises.
• Maintain fuel levels (driving cab only).
• Fill orders using packing lists to pick items.
• Print packing lists and attach to boxes.
• Use RF scanner to pick items in the WMS.
• Group orders in the WMS for same-carrier shipments.
• Move pallets with forklift or pallet jack to designated areas.
• Operate a forklift to retrieve items.
• Continuously lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Determine proper box size and pack correctly.
• Perform basic math calculations.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
