Job summary

Kennametal Inc. in Asheboro, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator II for the first shift (7:00 am – 3:00 pm). You will set up, run, train and troubleshoot Post-Coat Wetblast machines, loading carbide inserts and verifying counts to meet specifications.

The role requires basic math, the ability to read blueprints and procedures, and proficiency with SAP MII and QMS. You will work with automation and maintenance tasks, following safety and quality guidelines to support on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to read defect criteria.
• Ability to read blueprints, routings, and operating procedures.
• Proficiency with SAP MII and navigating QMS.
• Understanding and use of 30X Microscope.
• Ability to communicate with setup personnel and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, train, and troubleshoot Post-Coat Wetblast machines.
• Load and unload carbide inserts into automated wetblast equipment.
• Confirm incoming inserts and counts; ensure correct routing.
• Adjust pressures and times to meet production standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and monitor processes per guidelines.
