Job summary

Kennametal Henderson, NC is seeking a manufacturing operator for a 12-hour swing shift (7am-7pm on first, 7pm-7am on third) with 14 scheduled days per month and every other weekend off. You will charge, sample, and discharge ball mills, spray dry powder, and perform general housekeeping while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include prepping feed materials, recording data in SAP or papers, cleaning equipment, weighing and storing finished powder, and supporting EHS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift at least 33 pounds.
• Must pass the tow motor driving test.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety warnings.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve the proper feed materials.
• Complete all paperwork and/or computer entry correctly and fully.
• Clean all the equipment and maintain a safe workplace.
• Set milling timers and record start/stop times.
• Sample the mill and enter data in the spreadsheet.
• Monitor dryer conditions and recordkeeping.
• Weigh and store finished powder and update storage locations in SAP.
• Assist in enforcement of EHS and quality methodologies.
